     Douglas Vivian Murray was born on 2 December 1905.1 He is the son of Reverend Arthur Silver Murray and Rose Evelyn Woodhouse.1 He married, firstly, Isabel Mary Farquhar Fausset-Farquhar, daughter of Dr. Andrew Grierson Fausset-Farquhar, on 17 August 1932.1 He and Isabel Mary Farquhar Fausset-Farquhar were divorced in 1958.1 He married, secondly, Beryl Violet Wybergh, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Henry Wybergh, on 16 July 1958.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1

     Vice-Admiral Charles Murray-Aynsley was born on 21 September 1821.1 He was the son of John Murray-Aynsley and Emma Sarah Peach.1 He married Augusta Judith Campion, daughter of William Gilbert Montriou Campion and Esther Jane (?), on 9 December 1861.1 He died on 1 April 1901 at age 79.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in the Royal Navy.1

     Augusta Judith Campion was born on 17 November 1839.2 She was the daughter of William Gilbert Montriou Campion and Esther Jane (?)1,2 She was baptised on 6 February 1842 at Calcutta, India.2 She married Vice-Admiral Charles Murray-Aynsley, son of John Murray-Aynsley and Emma Sarah Peach, on 9 December 1861.1 She died on 16 June 1893 at age 53, by suicide on board the Doric sailing from New Zealand to England.1,3
     From 9 December 1861, her married name became Murray-Aynsley.1
