     After the Franco-Prussian War he won a contract to supply the French Army with tinned beef.1 He emigrated to Canada.1 Before 1884 he manufactured 'Johnsons Fluid Beef' in Canada.1 He founded Bovril.1 He lived at Kingswood, Kent, England.1

     Sir Francis Drake Clark, 5th Bt. was born on 16 July 1924.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Clark, 3rd Bt. and Ellen Mercy Drake.2 He married Mary Andrews, daughter of John Alban Andrews, on 14 August 1958.1 He died on 20 December 2019 at age 95.3
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1946, in the Royal Navy.1 He was a director of Clark Travel Service Ltd between 1948 and 1978 at London, EnglandG.1 He was a consultant for Peter Lubbock Travel between 1978 and 1985 at London, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Clark, of Melville Crescent, Edinburgh [U.K., 1886] in 1991.1 He lived in 2003 at Woodend Cottages, Wood Lane, Burgh-next-Aylsham, Norfolk, EnglandG.1
