Alexios I Comnenos, Emperor of Trebizond1

     Alexios I Comnenos, Emperor of Trebizond was born circa 1182.2 He was the son of Manuel Comnenos Doukas.2 He married unknown daughter Comnene, daughter of Ioannes Comnenos and unknown daughter Comnene, circa 1201.2 He died on 1 February 1222.2
     From 1203 to 1204 he invaded Trebizond with his brother David.2 He gained the title of Emperor Alexios I of Trebizond in 1204.1

     He succeeded as the Emperor Andronicus I of Trebizond in 1222.1
