     John Heywood Johnstone was born on 18 May 1850.2 He is the son of Reverend George Dempster Johnstone and Mary Anne Hawkins.3 He married Josephine Wells, daughter of John Joseph Wells, on 5 June 1878.2 He died on 10 October 1904 at age 54.2
