John Gordon of Cluny1

     John Gordon of Cluny was the son of Colonel John Gordon of Cluny. He married Emily Eliza Steele Pringle, daughter of John Robert Pringle and Hester Helen McNeill, on 19 December 1865.2 He died on 3 March 1878, without issue.1
     He lived at Cluny, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1

     William Bromley was born circa 1663.3 He was the son of Sir William Bromley and Hon. Ursula Leigh.1 He married, firstly, Catherine Clobery, daughter of Sir John Clobery.3 He married, thirdly, Cecila Swan, daughter of Sir William Swan, 1st Bt..3 He married, secondly, Trevor Fortrey, daughter of Samuel Fortrey, on 21 November 1689.3 He married, fourthly, Elizabeth Stawell, daughter of Ralph Stawell, 1st Baron Stawell of Somerton, in 1698.3 He died on 13 February 1732.3
     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwickshire between 1690 and 1698.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Oxford University between 1701 and 1732.3 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Commons between 1710 and 1713.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 23 June 1711.3 He held the office of Secretary of State from 1713 to 1714.3
