     Arthur Smith was born on 14 April 1843. He was the son of William Smith.2 He married Jane Stoney, daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Butler Stoney and Sarah Howard Ormond, on 19 September 1867.2 He died on 2 November 1870 at age 27.
     He lived at Hempstead, Kent, EnglandG.1

     Lt.-Col. Herbert Stoney Smith was the son of Arthur Smith and Jane Stoney.2 He married Edith Anne Ernestine Handcock, daughter of Hon. Robert John Handcock and Caroline Emily Louisa Pester, on 6 February 1900.1 He died on 22 October 1915, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Leicestershire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1

     Hon. Florinda Handcock was born on 9 March 1823.2 She was the daughter of Richard Handcock, 3rd Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum and Margaret Harris.3 She married Samuel Stephen Bateson, son of Sir Robert Bateson, 1st Bt. and Catherine Dickson, on 25 July 1854.1 She died on 26 April 1906 at age 83.1
     From 25 July 1854, her married name became Bateson.

     Samuel Stephen Bateson was born on 13 October 1821.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Bateson, 1st Bt. and Catherine Dickson.2 He married Hon. Florinda Handcock, daughter of Richard Handcock, 3rd Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum and Margaret Harris, on 25 July 1854.1 He died on 9 March 1879 at age 57, without issue.1
     He was a practising barrister.2

Annetta Handcock was born on 16 April 1828.2 She was the daughter of Richard Handcock, 3rd Baron Castlemaine of Moydrum and Margaret Harris.3 She married James Alfred Caulfeild, 7th Viscount Charlemont, son of Edward Houston Caulfeild and Charlotte Geale, on 2 February 1858 at Athlone Church, Athlone, IrelandG.4 She died on 10 November 1888 at age 60 at Dublin Castle, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, without male issue.2
     From 2 February 1858, her married name became Caulfeild.1
