     Sir Edward Wingfield Verner, 4th Bt. was born on 1 October 1830.1 He was the son of Sir William Verner, 1st Bt. and Harriet Wingfield.1 He married Selina Florence Nugent, daughter of Thomas Vesey Nugent and Frances Helen Stronge, on 15 December 1864.1 He died on 21 June 1899 at age 68.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lisburn between 1863 and 1873.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1866.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Armagh between 1873 and 1880.1 He lived at Corke Abbey, Bray, County Wicklow, IrelandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Verner, of Verner's Bridge, co. Armagh [U.K., 1846] on 8 June 1886.1
