Charles Henry Gore was born on 28 November 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Charles Gore and Constance Mary Bruce.1 He married, firstly, Marguerite Langley, daughter of Walter Langley, on 18 January 1911.1 He married Hon. Violet Katherine Annesley, daughter of Arthur Annesley, 11th Viscount of Valentia and Laura Sarah Webb, on 15 April 1920.2 He died on 20 June 1941 at age 59.1

William Henry Smith, 3rd Viscount Hambleden was born on 25 July 1903.1 He was the son of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore.2 He married Lady Patricia Herbert, daughter of Reginald Herbert, 15th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Beatrice Eleanor Paget, on 26 September 1928.1 He died on 31 March 1948 at age 44.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Hambleden, of Hambleden, co.
