Sir Thomas Bradford was born circa 1778 at Doncaster, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Bradford and Mary Otter.3 He married Mary Ann Atkinson, daughter of James Atkinson, on 1 June 1818 at Fulham, London, England.2 He died on 28 November 1853 at Eaton Square, London, England.2
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)4 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)5
