     Richard Godolphin Long was baptised on 12 November 1761 at West Lavington, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Richard Long and Meliora Lambe.1 He married Florentina Wrey, daughter of Sir Bourchier Wrey, 6th Bt. and Ellen Thresher, on 27 March 1786 at Tavistock House, Devon, EnglandG.2 He died on 1 July 1835 at age 73 at Rood Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 He was buried at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 8 August 1835.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wiltshire between 1806 and 1818.1 He founded the Wiltshire Yeomanry.1 He lived at Rood Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1

     John Long was baptised on 26 September 1768 at Great Cheverell, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Richard Long and Meliora Lambe.1 He married Lucy Anne Warneford, daughter of Reverend John Warneford and Lucy Southby, on 16 August 1790 at All Hallows in the Wall Church, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 20 October 1833 at age 65 at Monkton Farleigh, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was buried on 29 October 1833 at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1819.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire.2 He lived at Monkton Farleigh, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1
