     Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn was born in August 1684.1 He was the son of Alexander Hepburn and Janet Little.1 He was baptised on 3 August 1684.2 He married Marion Suttie, daughter of Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 1st Bt. and Marion Elizabeth Semple, on 22 June 1710 at Prestonkirk, East Lothian, Scotland.1,2 He died in 1726.1

     Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 1st Bt. is the son of George Suttie.2 He married Marion Elizabeth Semple, daughter of John Semple of Balgone, on 20 April 1677.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Suttie, of Balgone [Nova Scotia] on 5 May 1702.2

Marion Suttie1

     Marion Suttie was born on 12 May 1686 at North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 1st Bt. and Marion Elizabeth Semple.1,3 She married Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn, son of Alexander Hepburn and Janet Little, on 22 June 1710 at Prestonkirk, East Lothian, Scotland.1,2
     From 22 June 1710, her married name became Hepburn.

George Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn1

     George Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn was baptised on 7 August 1715 at Prestonkirk, East Lothian, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn and Marion Suttie.1 He died in 1764, without issue.1
     On his death, the representation of the family and the estates devolved upon his nephew George, later Sir George Buchan-Hepburn, 1st Baronet.1

     From 14 March 1736, her married name became Buchan.

     Walter Giffard, 1st Earl of Buckingham was the son of Walter Giffard, Seigneur de Longueville and Agnes Ermentrude Fleitel.1 He married Agnes de Ribemont, daughter of unknown de Ribemont.2 He died on 15 July 1102 at England.1
     He gained the title of Lord of Longueville [Normandy].1 He was created 1st Earl of Buckingham [England] circa 1097, probably by King William II.1 He received a blessing at Longueville, Normandy, FranceG.2

George Buchan of Kelloe1

     George Buchan of Kelloe was born in 1682.2 He married, firstly, Ann Hay, daughter of Alexander Hay of Balbythan.1 He married, secondly, Christian Cullen, daughter of Sir Francis Grant, Lord Cullen, in 1734.1 He died on 5 March 1760.1
     He held the office of Clerk to the Lords of Session.1 He acquired much property in East Lothian and Berwickshire.1
