     John Thomas Lingard is the son of Thomas Lingard and Maria Kenny.2 He married Charity Ann Roberts, daughter of Robert Roberts, at St. Andrews Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2
     He lived at Cooga, County Clare, IrelandG.1

     Frances Alice Lingard was the daughter of John Thomas Lingard and Charity Ann Roberts.1,2 She married Lt.-Col. William Alexander Macdonald Bruce, son of Colonel Elliott Armstrong Bruce and Mary Rebecca Dawson, on 8 December 1892.1 She died on 24 September 1933.1
     From 8 December 1892, her married name became Bruce.1

     From before 1935, her married name became St. Stephens.1 From 19 January 1935, her married name became Bruce.1

     Major John Elliott Lidderdale Bruce was born on 10 January 1870.1 He was the son of Colonel Elliott Armstrong Bruce and Mary Rebecca Dawson.1 He married Charlotte Mabel Johnstone, daughter of T. J. G. Johnstone, on 12 September 1900.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He was commanding officer of the 26th Jacob’s Mountain Battalion.1

     Brigadier John Charles Douglas Bruce was born on 2 August 1902.1 He was the son of Major John Elliott Lidderdale Bruce and Charlotte Mabel Johnstone.1 He married Dorothy Barbara Dundas, daughter of Robert Thomas Dundas, on 12 September 1934.1 He died on 10 February 1984 at age 81.2
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Somerset Light Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Gurkha Rifles.1
