     Sir Brian Broughton, 1st Bt. was born on 23 May 1618.1 He was the son of Thomas Broughton and Frances Bagot.1 He married Bridget Lucy, daughter of Sir Thomas Lucy and Alicia Spencer, before 1648.2 He died on 30 July 1708 at age 90.1 He was buried at Broughton, Staffordshire, EnglandG.2
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire from 1660 to 1661.2 He was appointed Knight on 13 June 1660 at Whitehall, London, EnglandG.2 He was created 1st Baronet Broughton, of Broughton, co. Stafford [England] on 10 March 1660/61.1

     Simon Williams was born on 16 June 1946 at Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He is the son of Hugh Anthony Glanmor Williams and Margaret Vyner.3 He married, firstly, Belinda Carroll, daughter of John F. Carroll and Hazel Bainbridge, circa 1969.3 He married, secondly, Eve Lucinda Fleming, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Peter Fleming and Dame Celia Elizabeth Johnson, in 1986.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.3 He was an actor.1

     Frances Bagot was the daughter of Walter Bagot.1,2 She married Thomas Broughton, son of Francis Broughton and Ellen Kinnersely.3
     Her married name became Broughton.3

     Bridget Lucy was born circa 1621.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Lucy and Alicia Spencer.1 She married Sir Brian Broughton, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Broughton and Frances Bagot, before 1648.1 She died on 1 September 1692.1 She was buried at Broughton, Staffordshire, EnglandG.1
     From before 1648, her married name became Broughton.1

     Sir Thomas Broughton, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1648.1 He was the son of Sir Brian Broughton, 1st Bt. and Bridget Lucy.1 He married Rhoda Amcotts, daughter of John Amcotts and Rhoda Hussey, on 10 July 1672 at St. Paul's Church, Covent Gardens, London, EnglandG.1 He died before 1710 at Soho, London, EnglandG.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 23 May 1710.1
     He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 8 March 1666/67.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Broughton, of Broughton, co. Stafford [E., 1661] on 30 July 1708.1
