     Brig.-Gen. Henry Francis Brooke was born on 3 August 1836.1 He was the son of George Augustus Frederick Brooke and Lady Arabella Georgina Hastings.1 He married Ann Isabella Christopher, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Leonard Raisbeck Christopher, on 11 March 1865.1 He died on 16 August 1880 at age 44, killed in action, in a sortie against Deh Khojah.1
     He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the 2nd Infantry Brigade, Kandahar.1

     Ann Isabella Christopher was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Leonard Raisbeck Christopher.1 She married Brig.-Gen. Henry Francis Brooke, son of George Augustus Frederick Brooke and Lady Arabella Georgina Hastings, on 11 March 1865.1 She died on 26 August 1927.1
     From 11 March 1865, her married name became Brooke.1

     Major George Cecil Brooke was born on 30 December 1870.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Henry Francis Brooke and Ann Isabella Christopher.1 He married Barbara Allen, daughter of Captain William Henry Allen, on 23 May 1912.1 He died on 28 April 1915 at age 44, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Waziristan Expedition in 1895.1 He fought in the Malakand Field Force between 1897 and 1898.1 He fought in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Border Regiment.1

     Commander Henry John Allen Brooke was born on 21 October 1913.1 He was the son of Major George Cecil Brooke and Barbara Allen.1 He married Lesley Mary Noble, daughter of Captain Eric Noble, on 21 December 1946.1 He died on 30 March 2003 at age 89 at Chichester, Sussex, England.2,3
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Spanish Civil War between 1937 and 1938, with the Nyon Patrol.1 He fought in the Second World War, in the Mediterranean, North African Landings, Artic Convoys and Pacfic, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1945.1 He was assistant director of Marine Service, Ministry of Defense (Navy Department) between 1961 and 1974.1 He retired from the military in 1963.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1974.1 He lived in 2003 at Benbow, Bosham, Chichester, Sussex, EnglandG.1

     Colonel Michael Henry Hastings Brooke was born on 10 March 1948.1 He is the son of Commander Henry John Allen Brooke and Lesley Mary Noble.1 He married Philippa Wendy Crowdy, daughter of Brigadier Rupert C. Crowdy and Norah Gwynne Jones, on 16 October 1971.1
     He was educated at Pangbourne Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1991.1
