     William Duff was born in 1653.² He was the son of Alexander Duff of Keithmore and Helen Grant.¹ He married, firstly, Helen Gordon, daughter of George Gordon of Edinglassie, in 1681.^2,1 He married, secondly, Jean Dunbar, daughter of Sir William Dunbar of Durn, 1st Bt. and Janet Brodie, on 5 March 1702/3.^2,1 He died on 1 May 1722 at Dipple, Banffshire, Scotland^G.²

     Helen Gordon is the daughter of George Gordon of Edinglassie.¹ She married William Duff, son of Alexander Duff of Keithmore and Helen Grant, in 1681.^2,1
     She was also known as Jean Gordon.² From 1681, her married name became Duff.

     Helen Duff was born in 1682.¹ She was the daughter of William Duff and Helen Gordon.¹ A contract for the marriage of Helen Duff and William Sutherland was signed on 22 October 1702.² She died in July 1746.¹
     From 22 October 1702, her married name became Sutherland.¹

     William Sutherland was the son of James Sutherland, 2nd Lord Duffus and Lady Margaret Mackenzie.² A contract for the marriage of William Sutherland and Helen Duff was signed on 22 October 1702.¹
     He lived at Roscommon, County Roscommon, Ireland^G.¹

     Catherine Duff was born in 1683 at Dipple, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Duff and Helen Gordon.¹ She married Alexander Duff, 1st of Hatton, son of Patrick Duff of Craigston and Anne Innes, in 1709.¹ She died on 20 December 1758.¹

     Alexander Duff was born on 14 January 1765.¹ He was the son of John Duff and Helen Duff.¹ He married Mary Leslie in 1787.¹ He died on 3 November 1791 at age 26.¹

     John Duff was born in 1807.¹ He was the son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar.¹ He died in 1829, from rapid consumption (supposedly from a fall from the top of a coach).¹

     Mary Duff was born in 1684.¹ She was the daughter of William Duff and Helen Gordon.¹ She died, in her youth.¹

     Isabel Duff was born in 1688.¹ She was the daughter of William Duff and Helen Gordon.¹ She married Alexander Mackintosh of Blervie.¹
     Her married name became Mackintosh.¹
