     W/Cdr. Nicholas Edward Bowen was born on 30 April 1923.1 He was the son of Harold Cedric Bowen and Vera Polianov.1 He married Evelyn Batty, daughter of Edward Batty, in 1944.1 He died on 9 May 2002 at age 79 at Ibiza, Baleares Islands, Spain.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force.1 He held the office of Military and Air Attaché to Oslo between 1968 and 1971.1 He lived at Apartado 1301, Ctra. Cala Llonga, St. Eulalia, Ibiza, SpainG.1
