     Charles Edmund Rumbold was born on 11 August 1788.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Rumbold, 1st Bt. and Joanna Law.1 He married Harriet Gardner, daughter of John Gardner.2 He died on 31 May 1857 at age 68 at Preston Candover, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Yarmouth between 1818 and 1847.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Yarmouth between 1848 and 1857.1 He lived at Preston Candover, Hampshire, England.2

     Captain Henry Edmund William Rumbold was born on 27 June 1837 at Preston Candover, Hampshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Charles Edmund Rumbold and Harriet Gardner.1,3 He married Ellen Schaefer Hollins, daughter of Cumberland Dugan Hollins, on 23 April 1871.2 He died on 26 August 1911 at age 74.2
     He emigrated to Virginia, U.S.A.G.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Fusiliers.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Essex Regiment.1

     He was in the Honourable East India Company Service between 1773 and 1791.4 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4
