     Hon. Edward Charles Hugh Herbert was born on 30 March 1802.¹ He was the son of Henry George Herbert, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Kitty Acland.¹ He married Elizabeth Sweet-Escott, daughter of Prebendary Thomas Sweet-Escott, in June 1833.¹ He died on 30 May 1852 at age 50.¹

     Elizabeth Sweet-Escott was the daughter of Prebendary Thomas Sweet-Escott.¹ She married Hon. Edward Charles Hugh Herbert, son of Henry George Herbert, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Kitty Acland, in June 1833.¹ She died on 10 July 1840.¹
     From June 1833, her married name became Herbert.¹

     Prebendary Thomas Sweet-Escott lived at Hartrow Hall, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Edward Henry Charles Herbert was born on 1 September 1837.¹ He was the son of Hon. Edward Charles Hugh Herbert and Elizabeth Sweet-Escott.¹ He died on 21 April 1870 at age 32 at Greece^G, murdered by brigands.^1,2
     He lived at Tetton House, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Lady Emily Frances Theresa Herbert was the daughter of Henry George Herbert, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Kitty Acland. She married Philip Bouverie-Pusey, son of Hon. Philip Bouverie-Pusey and Lady Lucy Sherard, on 4 October 1822.¹ She died on 16 November 1854.¹
     From 4 October 1822, her married name became Bouverie-Pusey.

     Philip Bouverie-Pusey was born on 25 June 1799.¹ He was the son of Hon. Philip Bouverie-Pusey and Lady Lucy Sherard.¹ He married Lady Emily Frances Theresa Herbert, daughter of Henry George Herbert, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and Elizabeth Kitty Acland, on 4 October 1822.¹ He died on 9 July 1855 at age 56, after a stroke.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He lived at Pusey House, Faringdon, Berkshire, England.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
