     Sir Edward Acton, 1st Bt. was baptised on 20 July 1600.2 He was the son of Walter Acton and Frances Acton.2 He married Sarah Mytton, daughter of Richard Mytton and Margaret Owen, in 1624.2 He died circa June 1659.2,3 He was buried on 29 June 1659.3 His will was proven (by probate) on 20 December 1659.3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth from April 1640 to May 1640.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth between November 1640 and 5 February 1644.4 He was created 1st Baronet Acton, of Aldenham [Aldenham Hall, in Morville], Shropshire [England] on 17 January 1643/44.2 In February 1647 he was fined £5,242, later reduced to £2,000.4 His last will was dated 20 March 1651. He was a Royalist during the Civil War.2

     Sarah Mytton was the daughter of Richard Mytton and Margaret Owen.1,2 She married Sir Edward Acton, 1st Bt., son of Walter Acton and Frances Acton, in 1624.1 She died on 30 September 1677.1,3
     From 1624, her married name became Acton.1

     Sir Walter Acton, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1620.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Acton, 1st Bt. and Sarah Mytton.1 He married Catherine Cressett, daughter of Richard Cresset.1 He died in 1665.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Acton, of Aldenham [Aldenham Hall, in Morville], Shropshire [E., 1644] on 29 June 1659.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth in 1660.1,2

     Catherine Cressett was the daughter of Richard Cresset.1 She married Sir Walter Acton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Edward Acton, 1st Bt. and Sarah Mytton.1 She died before December 1691.2 Her will was proven (by probate) in December 1691.2
     Her married name became Acton.1

     Sir Edward Acton, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1650.1,2 He was the son of Sir Walter Acton, 2nd Bt. and Catherine Cressett.1 He married Mary Walter.1 He died on 28 September 1716.1 He was buried at Morville, Shropshire, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 31 October 1716.2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Acton, of Aldenham [Aldenham Hall, in Morville], Shropshire [E., 1644] in 1665.1 He matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 4 May 1666.2 He graduated from Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 23 April 1667 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1,2 He held the office of Sheriff of Shropshire from 1684 to 1685.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth between 1698 and 1705.1 He held the office of Recorder of Bridgnorth in 1701.2 His last will was dated 28 September 1714.
