     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards (SR.)1

     Cecil Eyre Greenwell was the daughter of Sir Walpole Lloyd Greenwell, 1st Bt. and Kathleen Eugenie Tizard.1 She married Reverend Frederick Archibald Gresham Leveson-Gower, son of Granville William Gresham Leveson-Gower and Hon. Sophia Leigh, on 14 June 1897.1 She died on 6 July 1939.1
     Her married name became Leveson-Gower.

     From 19 July 1928, her married name became Vaughan. From 5 July 1939, her married name became Holmes.

He married Zara Duechar.1 He married Judith Elyn Gresham Leveson-Gower, daughter of Reverend Frederick Archibald Gresham Leveson-Gower and Cecil Eyre Greenwell, on 19 July 1928.2 He and Judith Elyn Gresham Leveson-Gower were divorced in 1939.2

     Major Errol Reginald Thorold Holmes was born on 21 August 1905 at Calcutta, India.2 He was the son of Arthur Charles Smithson Holmes.1 He married Judith Elyn Gresham Leveson-Gower, daughter of Reverend Frederick Archibald Gresham Leveson-Gower and Cecil Eyre Greenwell, on 5 July 1939.1 He died on 16 August 1960 at age 54.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1 He was he played 5 cricket test matches for England, against the West Indies and South Africa between 1934 and 1935.2
