     Major John Ronald Henderson was born on 6 May 1920.2 He was the son of Major Ronald Henry White Henderson and Marjorie May Garrard.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Katherine Beckwith-Smith, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Merton Beckwith-Smith and Honor Dorothy Leigh, on 8 November 1949.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Barford, daughter of Geoffrey William Barford, in 1976.2 He died on 16 December 2003 at age 83 at West Woodhay House, Newbury, Berkshire, EnglandG.2
