     Lady Alice Josephine Bertie was born on 2 March 1865.2 She was the daughter of Montagu Arthur Bertie, 7th Earl of Abingdon and Caroline Theresa Towneley.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Gerald Herbert Portal, son of Melville Portal and Lady Charlotte Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 1 February 1890.2 She married, secondly, Major Robert Reyntiens on 5 October 1897.2 She died on 7 May 1950 at age 85.2
     From 1 February 1890, her married name became Portal.3 From 5 October 1897, her married name became Reyntiens. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3

     Lady Charlotte Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound was the daughter of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 2nd Earl of Minto and Mary Brydone.1 She married Melville Portal, son of John Portal and Elizabeth Drummond, on 9 October 1855.2 She died on 3 June 1899.2
     From 9 October 1855, her married name became Portal.2 They also had a daughter who died unmarried.2

     Grizel Durham was the daughter of James Durham. She married, firstly, Sir Alexander Fotheringham before 1624.1 She married, secondly, Sir Gilbert Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt., son of David Ramsay of Balmain and Margaret Ogilvie, in 1630.1 She married, thirdly, John Middleton, 1st Earl of Middleton, son of Robert Middleton and Helen Strachan, in July 1639.2 She died in September 1666 at CranstounG.2
     From before 1624, her married name became Fotheringham.1 From 1630, her married name became Ramsay.1 From July 1639, her married name became Middleton.2
