     Lt.-Col. John Murray of Touchadam and Polmaise married Lady Agnes Caroline Graham, daughter of James Graham, 4th Duke of Montrose and Hon. Caroline Agnes Horsley-Beresford, on 15 September 1859.¹ He died on 11 August 1903.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     A contract for the marriage of Captain Robert Stewart of Eday and Lady Jean Gordon was signed on 11 July 1657.¹

     Lady Jean Sutherland was born circa 1681.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. John Sutherland, 16th Earl of Sutherland and Helen Cochrane.^1,3 A contract for the marriage of Lady Jean Sutherland and James Maitland, Viscount Maitland was signed on 31 August 1702.¹ She died on 11 February 1747.¹
     Her married name became Maitland.

     James Maitland, Viscount Maitland was born circa 1680.¹ He was the son of John Maitland, 5th Earl of Lauderdale and Lady Margaret Cuninghame.¹ A contract for the marriage of James Maitland, Viscount Maitland and Lady Jean Sutherland was signed on 31 August 1702.¹ He died in 1709, without male issue.¹
     He was styled as Viscount Maitland between 1695 and 1709.¹

     John Maitland, 5th Earl of Lauderdale was born circa 1655.² He was the son of Charles Maitland, 3rd Earl of Lauderdale and Elizabeth Lauder.¹ He married Lady Margaret Cuninghame, daughter of Alexander Cuninghame, 10th Earl of Glencairn and Nicola Stewart, circa 1680.³ He died on 30 August 1710.¹
     He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1679.¹ He gained the title of Lord Ravelrig [Scottish Law Lord].¹ He held the office of Lord of Session.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Maitland [Nova Scotia] on 18 November 1680.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Midlothian from 1685 to 1686.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Midlothian between 1689 and 1696.¹ He was appointed Privy Councillor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1688/89.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Edinburgh Militia.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Maitland [S., 1624] in 1695.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Lauderdale [S., 1624] in 1695.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Lord Thirlestane and Boltoun [S., 1624] in 1695.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Lord Maitland of Thirlestane [S., 1590] in 1695.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Viscount of Lauderdale [S., 1616] in 1695.¹

     George Sutherland was the son of William Sutherland, Lord Strathnaver and Catherine Morison.¹ He died on 13 March 1736, unmarried.¹

     Helen Sutherland was the daughter of William Sutherland, Lord Strathnaver and Catherine Morison.¹ She married Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 1st Bt., son of Sir James Grant of Grant, 6th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun, on 12 April 1740.¹ She died on 7 January 1791.¹
     Her married name became Grant.

     Janet Sutherland was the daughter of William Sutherland, Lord Strathnaver and Catherine Morison.¹ She married George Sinclair of Ulbster, son of John Sinclair of Ulbster and Henrietta Brodie, on 24 October 1740.² She died on 9 June 1795.
     Her married name became Sinclair.

     Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 1st Bt. was born on 22 February 1714.¹ He was the son of Sir James Grant of Grant, 6th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun.² He married Helen Sutherland, daughter of William Sutherland, Lord Strathnaver and Catherine Morison, on 12 April 1740.¹ He died on 18 November 1786 at age 72.
     He was given the name of James Grant at birth.¹ He succeeded to the Colquhoun estates as heir under the entail of 1706 after considerable litigation with his brother, Sir Ludovic.¹ He built the mansion of Rossdhu.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [Great Britain] on 27 June 1786.¹

     Richard William Lewis Groves was born in 1957.¹ He is the son of Captain P. W. Groves.² He married Helen Mary Keppel Charteris, daughter of David Nigel Charteris and Euphemia Mary Inglis, in 1984.¹
