Amy Ida Martin1

     Amy Ida Martin was born circa 1885 at Charters Towers, Queensland, AustraliaG.1 She was the daughter of Alfred William Martin and Joanna McGrath.2 She married Archibald McLiver, son of John McLiver and Almira Emeline Christian, on 28 January 1909 at Methodist Church, Avondale, Auckland, New ZealandG.2 She died in August 1983.1
     Amy used to tell the story about her being 14 years of age, working in the munitions factory in Australia in the late 1800's. Her job was to bite the
cordite (a smokeless explosive) and cut it with her teeth!2 From 28 January 1909, her married name became McLiver.2

     James Quintal was born on 9 July 1825 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He was the son of Arthur Quintal and Catherine McCoy.2 He married Priscilla Christian, daughter of Fletcher Christian and Peggy Christian, on 22 July 1855 at Pitcairn IslandG.2 He died on 7 September 1898 at age 73 at Norfolk IslandG.1

     Eliza Quintal was born on 11 June 1833 at Pitcairn IslandG.2 She was the daughter of John Quintal and Maria Christian.1 She married Benjamin Claudius Christian, son of John Buffett and Mary Christian, on 25 December 1851 at Pitcairn IslandG.2 She died on 16 May 1906 at age 72 at Norfolk IslandG.2
     From 25 December 1851, her married name became Christian.2 She and Benjamin Claudius Christian emigrated on 8 June 1856 from Norfolk Island; on board the transport Morayshire.3
