     Ewan Christian was born in 1861 at Kragga Kama, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South AfricaG.1 He was the son of Henry Bailey Christian and Mary Anne Smith.1 He married Ethel Holland, daughter of John Alfred Holland and Maria Elizabeth Cuyler Armstrong.1 He died in February 1900 at Mawkow's Drift, South Africa, killed in action.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Boer War, with Rimington's Scouts.2 He fought in the Battle of Mawkow's Drift in February 1900.1

     Harold Basil Christian was born on 28 October 1871 at Port Elizabeth, Cape Colony, South Africa.2 He was the son of Henry Bailey Christian and Mary Anne Smith.1 He married Annabella Roberta Kemp Saint on 18 December 1920 at Cathedral of St. Mary and All Saints, Harare, Zimbabwe.3,2 He and Annabella Roberta Kemp Saint were separated in September 1923.2 He died on 12 May 1950 at age 78 at Harare, Zimbabwe.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He fought in the Boer War, with the Imperial Light Horse.3 He was an engineer with De Beers at Kimberley, Cape Province, South Africa.2 He was a farmer of aloe, on the estate he name Ewanrigg between 1914 and 1950 at Mashonaland East Province, Zimbabwe.2
