     James Cyril Butterwick was the son of Reverend James Butterwick.2 He married Hon. Agnes Désirée Dickinson, daughter of Willoughby Hyett Dickinson, 1st Baron Dickinson and Minnie Elizabeth Gordon Cumming Meade, on 8 April 1922.3 He died on 23 February 1966.3

Richard Sebastion Willoughby Dickinson and May Southey Lovemore.1 He married, firstly, Mary Rose Barnard, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Geoffrey Barnard, on 25 April 1953.1 He married, secondly, Jennifer Carolyn Robin McKinley on 3 January 1992.1 He died on 16 December 2015 at age 88.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 In May 1944 he was granted the rank of a baron's younger son.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He wrote the book The Weathermonger, published 1968.3 He wrote the book Tulku, published 1979.3 He wrote the book City of Gold, published 1980.3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Literature (F.R.S.L.) in 1999.1 He lived in 2003 at Bramdean Lodge, Wood Lane, Bramdean, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 2009.3

     From 25 April 1953, her married name became Dickinson.1
