     Christian Houghton was born in 1712.2 She was the daughter of Reverend William Houghton.1 She married Thomas Bernard, son of Thomas Bernard and Elizabeth Colson, in 1729.1 She died on 15 January 1797.1 She was buried on 20 January 1797 at All Saints, Southampton, Hampshire, England.2
     From 1729, her married name became Bernard.1

     Colson Bernard was the son of Thomas Bernard and Christian Houghton.1 He married, firstly, Hannah Sharp in 1761.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Everett on 18 June 1772 at Romsey, Hampshire, England.1,2 He married, thirdly, Mary Plyer on 18 February 1796 at Romsey, Hampshire, England.1,2 He died on 8 September 1807.1
     He was a yeoman farmer.1
