Benjamin Bell of Blackethouse1

Benjamin Bell of Blackethouse was born on 16 September 1749.1 He was the son of George Bell and Anne Corrie.1 He married Grizel Hamilton, daughter of Robert Hamilton, in 1775.1 He died on 8 April 1806 at age 56.1
He was a surgeon at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (F.R.C.S.E.) in 1771.1 In 1777 he sold Blackethouse.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.) in 1783.1
He also had two daughters, who both died young.1
