     Josephine Burnett was the daughter of William Burnett.1 She married Sir Joseph Beecham, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Beecham and Mary Evans, on 12 April 1873.1 She died on 3 November 1934.1
     From 12 April 1873, her married name became Beecham.1

     Sir Thomas Beecham, 2nd Bt. was born on 29 April 1879.1 He was the son of Sir Joseph Beecham, 1st Bt. and Josephine Burnett.1 He married, firstly, Utica Welles, daughter of Dr. Charles J. Stuart Welles and Ella Celeste Miles, on 27 July 1903.1 He and Utica Welles were divorced in 1943 at U.S.A.G.1 He married, secondly, Betty Humby, daughter of Daniel Morgan Humby, in February 1943.1 He married, thirdly, Shirley Jean Hudson, daughter of Albert George Hudson, on 10 August 1959.1 He died on 8 March 1961 at age 81.1
     He was educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Wadham College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Knight in 1916.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Beecham, of Ewanville, Huyston, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1914] on 23 October 1916.1 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1930 with a honorary Doctor of Music (D.Mus.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Music (F.R.C.M.) in 1934.1 He graduated from University of Manchester, Manchester, Lancashire, EnglandG, in 1937 with a honorary Doctor of Music (D.Mus.)1 He graduated from Birmingham University, Birmingham, Warwickshire, EnglandG, in 1939 with a honorary Master of Music.1 He was awarded the Gold Medal of the Royal Philharmonic Society.1 He was appointed Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1957.1 He was a conductor and composer.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

     Sir Adrian Welles Beecham, 3rd Bt. was born on 3 September 1904.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Beecham, 2nd Bt. and Utica Welles.1 He married Barbara Joyce Cairn, daughter of Edward Cohen and Emma Manasseh, on 9 February 1939.1 He died in 1982.1
     He graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG, in 1926 with a Bachelor of Music (Mus.B.)1 He was a composer of songs and choral works.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Beecham, of Ewanville, Huyston, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1914] on 8 March 1961.1

     Barbara Joyce Cairn was born on 16 January 1917.2 She was the daughter of Edward Cohen and Emma Manasseh.1 She married Sir Adrian Welles Beecham, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Beecham, 2nd Bt. and Utica Welles, on 9 February 1939.1 She died on 16 September 1991 at age 74.2
     She was given the name of Barbara Joyce Cohen at birth.2 Her name was legally changed to Barbara Joyce Cairn.2 Barbara Joyce Cairn usually went by her middle name of Joyce.1 From 9 February 1939, her married name became Beecham.1

     Henry Beecham was born on 20 August 1888.1 He was the son of Sir Joseph Beecham, 1st Bt. and Josephine Burnett.1 He married Ethel Anne Baxter, daughter of Herbert Baxter, on 25 October 1914.2 He died on 10 January 1947 at age 58.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps.2

     Major Joseph Michael Beecham was born on 16 January 1917.1 He was the son of Henry Beecham and Ethel Anne Baxter.1 He married Sylvia Nathan, daughter of Frank Benjamin Nathan, on 25 August 1939.1 He died on 5 January 1994 at age 76 at Torbay, Devon, England.1,2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1
