     Sir Nathaniel Bacon was born circa 1546.2 He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon and Jane Fernley.1 He married, firstly, Anne Gresham, daughter of Sir Meautys Thomas Gresham.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Hopton, daughter of Sir Arthur Hopton and Rachel Hall, after 21 July 1597.1 He died on 7 November 1622.2
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 15 December 1562 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tavistock from 1571 to 1572.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1584.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk in 1593.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lynn in 1597.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Norfolk in 1599.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 21 July 1604.1,2 He lived at Stiffkey, Norfolk, EnglandG.1 He had one other daughter by his first wife.1
