     Hannah Glazier was born circa 1805.² She married George William Ashburnham, son of Sir William Ashburnham, 5th Bt. and Alicia Woodgate, in 1825 at All Saints, Hastings, Sussex, England^G.^1,2 She died on 30 June 1884.¹

     John Woodgate Ashburnham was born on 5 January 1840 at Hastings, Sussex, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of George William Ashburnham and Hannah Glazier.¹ He married Julia Letitia Merriman, daughter of Rt. Rev. Nathaniel James Merriman, on 13 January 1864.¹ He died in 1888.¹

     Julia Letitia Merriman was born in 1842 at Wells, Somerset, England^G.² She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Nathaniel James Merriman.¹ She married John Woodgate Ashburnham, son of George William Ashburnham and Hannah Glazier, on 13 January 1864.¹ She died on 29 April 1912.¹
     From 13 January 1864, her married name became Ashburnham.¹

     Rt. Rev. Nathaniel James Merriman held the office of Bishop of Grahamstown, South Africa.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹
