     Andrew Anstruther of Anstruther was the son of Robert de Anstruther of Anstruther and Elizabeth Balfour.1 He married, firstly, Christian Sandilands, daughter of Sir James Sandilands, 5th of Calder and Margaret Kinloch.1 He married, secondly, Janet Borthwick.1
     He succeeded as the Lord of Anstruther [feudal baron] in 1483.1 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.1

     He was the benefactor of Dryburgh Monastery and Balmerino Abbey.1 He fought in the crusade under King Louis IX.1 He succeeded as the Lord of Anstruther [feudal baron].1 Between 1292 and 1296 he swore fealty to King Edward I of England.1
