     Hon. Sir Rowland St. John is the son of Oliver St. John, 3rd Baron Saint John of Bletso and Dorothy Read.2 He married Sybella Vaughan, daughter of John Vaughan.1 He died in August 1645.3
     He was educated at Queens' College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)3

     Sir Oliver St. John, 1st Bt. was born circa 1624.2 He was the son of Hon. Sir Rowland St. John and Sybella Vaughan.1 He married Barbara St. Andrew, daughter of John St. Andrew, circa 1648.2 He died on 3 January 1661/62.2
     He was created 1st Baronet St. John, of Woodford, Northamptonshire [England] on 28 June 1660.1

     Sir Rowland Alston, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1654.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Alston, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth St. John.1 He married Temperance Crew, daughter of Thomas Crew, 2nd Baron Crew of Stene and Mary Townshend, before 1676.1 He died circa September 1697.1 He was buried on 24 September 1697 at Odell, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 6 April 1698.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Alston, of Odell, co. Bedford [E., 1642] circa July 1678.1 His last will was dated 23 December 1686.

     He matriculated at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 9 November 1666.1

     Temperance Crew was baptised on 8 May 1656 at Flore, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Crew, 2nd Baron Crew of Stene and Mary Townshend.1 She married, firstly, Sir Rowland Alston, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Alston, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth St. John, before 1676.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Wolstenholme, 3rd Bt. on 7 February 1699 at Allballowe, Bread Street, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 18 October 1728 at age 72.1 She was buried at Odell, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1
     From before 1676, her married name became Alston.1 From 7 February 1699, her married name became Wolstenholme.1

     Sir Roger Townshend, 1st Bt. was born circa 1596.2 He was the son of Sir John Townshend and Anne Bacon. He married Hon. Mary de Vere, daughter of Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury and Mary Tracy, in 1628.3 He died on 1 January 1636/37.4
     He was created 1st Baronet Townshend, of Rainham, co. Norfolk [England] on 16 April 1617.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Oxford from 1621 to 1622.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Norfolk from 1628 to 1629.4
