     Sarah Metcalfe was born circa 1715.2 She was the daughter of James Metcalfe and Mary Benson.1,2 She married John Affleck, son of Gilbert Affleck and Anna Dolben, on 31 July 1736 at Fordham, Cambridgeshire, England.2 She died on 17 February 1776.2
     From 31 July 1736, her married name became Affleck.2

     James Metcalfe was born circa 1689.2 He was the son of Charles Metcalfe and Mary (?)2 He married Mary Benson, daughter of Nathaniel Benson and Mary Edge, on 28 April 1711.2 He died on 4 December 1730.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedford between 1728 and 1730.2 He lived at Roxton, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1

     Mary Clark was born circa 1749.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Clark.1 She married, firstly, Richard Vassall, son of Florentius Vassall, before 1796.1 She married, secondly, Sir Gilbert Affleck, 2nd Bt., son of John Affleck and Sarah Metcalfe, on 18 July 1796.1 She died in February 1835 at South Street, Park Lane, London, EnglandG.1
     From before 1796, her married name became Vassall.1 From 18 July 1796, her married name became Affleck.1

Lt.-Gen. Sir James Affleck, 3rd Bt.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir James Affleck, 3rd Bt. was born on 29 April 1759.1 He was the son of Reverend James Affleck and Mary Proctor.1 He died on 10 August 1833 at age 74 at Dalham Hall, Suffolk, EnglandG, unmarried.1 His will (dated 2 January 1833) was proven (by probate) on 25 September 1833, at under £39,000.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 16th Dragoons.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Affleck, of Dalham Hall, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1782] on 17 July 1808.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General.1
