     Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont, 2nd Viscount Allendale was born on 6 August 1890.1 He was the son of Wentworth Canning Blackett Beaumont, 1st Viscount Allendale and Lady Alexandrina Louise Maud Vane-Tempest.1 He married Violet Lucy Emily Seely, daughter of Sir Charles Hilton Seely, 2nd Bt. and Hilda Lucy Grant, on 20 July 1921 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 16 December 1956 at age 66.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1912 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, serving with the Guards Machine Gun Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 3 April 1914 in the Life Guards.1 He gained the rank of Captain on 1 July 1915.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1911] on 12 December 1923.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co.      Wentworth Hubert Charles Beaumont, 3rd Viscount Allendale was born on 12 September 1922.1 He was the son of Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont, 2nd Viscount Allendale and Violet Lucy Emily Seely.1 He married Hon. Sarah Field Ismay, daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg, on 10 February 1948.1 He and Hon. Sarah Field Ismay were divorced in 1984.1 He died on 27 December 2002 at age 80.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and taken as a prisoner of war.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1946 and 1947.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1906] on 16 December 1956.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1911] on 16 December 1956.1 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 He lived in 1999 at Bywell Hall, Stockfields-on-Tyne, Northumberland, EnglandG.1

     Elizabeth Dacre was born on 12 November 1564.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Dacre, 4th Lord Dacre (of Gilsland) and Elizabeth Leyburne.1,2 She married Lord William Howard, son of Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk and Hon. Margaret Audley, on 28 October 1577.1
     Elizabeth Dacre also went by the nick-name of 'Bess of the Broad Apron' for her extensive land holdings.1 Her married name became Howard.

     Sir Francis Howard was born on 29 August 1588.2 He was the son of Lord William Howard and Elizabeth Dacre.1 He married, firstly, Margeret Preston, daughter of John Preston.2 He married, secondly, Mary Widdrington, daughter of Sir Henry Widdrington.2 He died on 11 April 1660 at age 71.2
     He fought in the English Civil War.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royalist Army.2 He lived at Corby Castle, Cumberland, EnglandG.2 He also had four daughters by his second wife.2
