     Donald Mackenzie Douglas was born on 7 July 1821 at Bearey, Hampshire, England.2,3 He is the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Kenneth Douglas, 1st Bt. and Rachael Andrews.2 He married Emily Jane Kennedy, daughter of Hugh Kennedy and Grace Dorothea Hughes, on 5 August 1847.2 He died on 30 September 1883 at age 62 at Kent, England.2,3
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal North Down Rifles.2
