     Sophia Palaeologine was born in 1448.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Palaeologus, Despot of the Morea.1 She married Ivan III, Grand Duke of Moscow, son of Basil II, Grand Duke of Moscow and Mary of Maloyaroslav, in 1472.1 She died in 1503.1

     He gained the title of Grand Duke Ivan of Tver.1 He held the office of Co-regent of Moscow between 1471 and 1490.2

     Basil III, Grand Duke of Moscow was born in 1479.1 He was the son of Ivan III, Grand Duke of Moscow and Sophia Palaeologine.1 He married Salomea Saburov, daughter of Yuri Saburov, in 1505.1 He and Salomea Saburov were divorced in 1526.1 He married Helen Glinski, daughter of Basil Glinski , Prince Glinski, in 1527.1 He died in 1533.1
     He succeeded as the Grand Duke Basil III of Moscow in 1505.1
