     Mechtild Gräfin von und zu Arco-Zinneberg was born in 1879 at Schonburg. She was the daughter of Maximilian Graf von und zu Arco-Zinneberg and Olga Baronin von Werther. She married, firstly, Prince Karl Max Lichnowsky, son of Prince Carl Lichnowsky and Marie Prinzessin von Croÿ, in 1904. She married, secondly, Major Ralph Harding Peto, son of William Herbert Peto, in 1937 at London, England. She died in 1958 at London, England.
     Mechtild Gräfin von und zu Arco-Zinneberg gained the title of Gräfin von und zu Arco-Zinneberg. From 1937, her married name became Peto.
