     Brenda Marguerite Balfour was born on 13 February 1920 at London, England. She is the daughter of Sir Alec Edward Balfour and Marie Amelie d'Harcourt. She married, firstly, Pierre Francois Marie Hubert Bourlon de Rouvre on 10 May 1941. She and Pierre Francois Marie Hubert Bourlon de Rouvre were divorced in 1948. She married, secondly, François de Bourbon-Busset on 12 December 1949.
     From 10 May 1941, her married name became Bourlon de Rouvre. From 12 December 1949, her married name became de Bourbon.
