Sir Hugh Grenville Williams, 6th Bt. was born on 26 March 1889.1 He was the son of Captain Sir William Grenville Williams, 4th Bt. and Ellinor Harriet Hurt Sitwell.1 He married, firstly, Charlotte Kebbell in 1914.1 He and Charlotte Kebbell were divorced in 1921.1 He married, secondly, Maude Beatrice Fraser Marie de Mariliac St. Julien, daughter of Ernst Anton Marie von Mariliac de St. Julien and Lilian Elizabeth Symons, in 1922.1 He died on 9 December 1961 at age 72.1
He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the King's Royal Rifle Corps and Montgomeryshire Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) and bar.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Williams, of Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire [G.B., 1798] on 18 January 1932.1 He held the office of Member, Legislattive Assemby (M.L.A.) between 1933 and 1961, Gwanda, Southern Rhodesian.1
