     William Michael Anthony Cecil, 8th Marquess of Exeter was born on 1 September 1935.1 He is the son of William Martin Alleyne Cecil, 7th Marquess of Exeter and Edith Lilian Csanady de Telegd.1 He married, firstly, Nancy Rose Meeker, daughter of Lloyd Arthur Meeker, on 3 May 1967.1 He and Nancy Rose Meeker were divorced in 1992.1 He married, secondly, Barbara Anne Magat, daughter of Eugene Magat, on 24 February 1999.2
     William Michael Anthony Cecil, 8th Marquess of Exeter usually went by his middle name of Michael. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He wrote the book Spirit of Sunrise, published 1979, co-author.2 He wrote the book The Long View, published 1985.2 He wrote the book The Rising Tide of Change, published 1986.2 He succeeded as the 17th Earl of Exeter [E., 1605] in 1988.2 He succeeded as the 18th Baron of Burghley, co.
