     Rupert James Legge was born on 29 March 1944.1 He is the son of Major Rupert Mortimer Legge and Anne Adam.1 He married Jacqueline Hope Ubsdell, daughter of Major E. T. H. Ubsdell, on 2 November 1968.1
     Rupert James Legge was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment Fusiliers.1 He lived in 2003 at Woodend Garden Cottage, Thirsk, Yorkshire, England.1
