     Anthony FitzHardinge Gueterbock, 18th Lord Berkeley was born on 20 September 1939.1 He is the son of Brigadier Ernest Adolphus Leopold Gueterbock and Hon. Cynthia Ella Foley. He married, firstly, Diana Christine Townsend, daughter of Eric William John Townsend, on 10 July 1965.1 He and Diana Christine Townsend were divorced in 1998.1 He married, secondly, Julia Clarke, daughter of Michael Clarke, on 8 May 1999.1
     Anthony FitzHardinge Gueterbock, 18th Lord Berkeley was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1,2 He lived Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.).1 He was an engineer with Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners between 1961 and 1965.1 He was an engineer with George Wimpey plc between 1965 and 1981.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.).1 He was invested as a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Transport (F.C.I.T.).1 He was an engineer with Eurotunnel between 1981 and 1987.1 He was a public affairs manager with Eurotunnel in 1987.1 He succeeded to the title of 18th Lord Berkeley [E., 1421] on 17 October 1992, by writ.1 He graduated from Brighton University, Brighton, Sussex, England, in 1996 with a Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.).1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).3 He was created Baron Gueterbock, of Cranford in the London Borough of Hillingdon [U.K. Life Peer] on 18 April 2000.3 He lived in 2003 at 166 Banbury Road, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1

     Diana Christine Townsend is the daughter of Eric William John Townsend.1 She married Anthony FitzHardinge Gueterbock, 18th Lord Berkeley, son of Brigadier Ernest Adolphus Leopold Gueterbock and Hon. Cynthia Ella Foley, on 10 July 1965.1 She and Anthony FitzHardinge Gueterbock, 18th Lord Berkeley were divorced in 1998.1
     Her married name became Gueterbock. As a result of her marriage, Diana Christine Townsend was styled as Lady Berkeley in 1992.
