     Mabel Ellen Riddell was the daughter of Francis Riddell and Ellen Blount. She married James Fitzalan Hope, 1st Baron Rankeillour, son of James Robert Hope-Scott and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Fitzalan-Howard, on 15 November 1892. She died on 24 April 1938.
     Her married name became Hope.

     James Fitzalan Hope, 1st Baron Rankeillour was born on 11 December 1870. He was the son of James Robert Hope-Scott and Lady Victoria Alexandrina Fitzalan-Howard. He married, firstly, Mabel Ellen Riddell, daughter of Francis Riddell and Ellen Blount, on 15 November 1892. He married, secondly, Lady Beatrice Minnie Ponsonby Moore, daughter of Ponsonby William Moore, 9th Earl of Drogheda and Anne Tower Moir, on 15 September 1941.1 He died on 14 February 1949 at age 78.
     James Fitzalan Hope, 1st Baron Rankeillour gained the title of 1st Baron Rankeillour.
