     Maria Shirreff was the daughter of General William Shirreff.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hon. William Grey, son of General Charles Grey, 1st Earl Grey and Elizabeth Grey.¹ She died on 4 August 1857.¹
     Her married name became Grey.

     Lieutenant John Eden was born on 9 October 1888.² He was the son of Sir William Eden, 7th Bt. and Sybil Frances Grey.¹ He died on 17 October 1914 at age 26 at France, killed in action.

     Sir Timothy Calvert Eden, 8th Bt. was educated Eton and Ch Ch Oxford.² He was Yorkshire LI WW I (POW), WW II as Staff Capt, author: The Tribulations of a Baronet.² He gained the title of 8th Baronet Eden, of West Auckland. He gained the title of 6th Baronet Eden, of Maryland.

     Edith Mary Prendergast is the daughter of Arthur Prendergast.² She married Sir Timothy Calvert Eden, 8th Bt., son of Sir William Eden, 7th Bt. and Sybil Frances Grey, on 30 January 1923.¹ She died in 1990.
     Edith Mary Prendergast usually went by her middle name of Patricia. Her married name became Eden.

     John Benedict Eden, Baron Eden of Winton was born on 15 September 1925.⁴ He is the son of Sir Timothy Calvert Eden, 8th Bt. and Edith Mary Prendergast.³ He married, firstly, Belinda Jane Pascoe, daughter of Sir Frederick John Pascoe and Margaret Esson Scott, on 28 January 1958. He and Belinda Jane Pascoe were divorced in 1974. He married, secondly, Margaret Anne Gordon on 8 January 1977.⁵
     John Benedict Eden, Baron Eden of Winton lived Rushyford in the County Palatine of Durham.⁴ He was educated Eton and St Paul's Sch, USA.⁴ He gained the title of 7th Baronet Eden, of Maryland. (C) Bournemouth W –83, Oppn Front Bench Spokesman Power 1968–70, Min: State Technology June-Oct 1970, Indust 1970–72, Posts and Telecommunications 1972–74 in February 1954.⁴ In 1963 succeeded f in btcies.⁴ He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1972.⁴ He was Chm H of C Select Ctee European Legislation , memb Selective Ctee Estimates 1960–64, V-Chm Assoc of C Clubs 1964–67, C Parly Aviation Ctee 1964–66, C Parly Trade and Power Ctee 1966–68 and C Parly Def Ctee 1964–66, Chm C Air Sub-Ctee 1964–66, memb in 1976.⁴ He was created Baron Eden of Winton, of Rushyford in the County of Durham [U.K. Life Peer] on 3 October 1983.¹

     Belinda Jane Pascoe was born on 14 April 1938. She is the daughter of Sir Frederick John Pascoe and Margaret Esson Scott.² She married John Benedict Eden, Baron Eden of Winton, son of Sir Timothy Calvert Eden, 8th Bt. and Edith Mary Prendergast, on 28 January 1958. She and John Benedict Eden, Baron Eden of Winton were divorced in 1974.
