     Julian Peter Alexander March Phillipps de Lisle was born on 2 February 1936.2 He is the son of Major John Adrian Frederick March Phillipps de Lisle and Elizabeth Muriel Smyth Guinness.1 He married, firstly, Judith A. Howard in 1968.2 He and Judith A. Howard were divorced in 1970.2 He married, secondly, Diana Barbara Welchman, daughter of Colonel John Roger Welchman and Valerie (?), on 22 April 1971.2 He died on 19 December 1993 at age 57.2
     Julian Peter Alexander March Phillipps de Lisle was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of officer in 1955 in the service of the Royal Horse Guards.2 He gained the rank of officer in 1957 in the service of the Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire between 1988 and 1989.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Leicestershire in 1991.2
