     Elise Catherine Armstrong was the daughter of Captain William Armstrong.1 She married Robert Gunn Paul, son of Sir Robert Joshua Paul, 3rd Bt. and Anne Blacker, in December 1897.1 She died on 17 June 1924.1
     From December 1897, her married name became Paul.1

     Venerable Sir William Edmund Jeffrey Paul, 6th Bt. was born on 23 September 1885.1 He was the son of Sir William Joshua Paul, 4th Bt. and Richenda Juliet Gurney.1 He married Alice Mary Ellen Henly, daughter of Ernest Havelock Henly, on 6 January 1927.1 He died on 9 October 1961 at age 76.2
     He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1907 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1908 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Canon in 1918 at St. Albert's Cathedral, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.1 He held the office of Archdeacon of Saskatchewan for Indian Missions in 1927.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Paul, of Paulville, co. Carlow [I., 1764] on 9 July 1955.2 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2

     From 10 May 1919, her married name became Paul.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1

     He was a civil servant and British Consul in China.2
