Sir Geoffrey Summers, 1st Bt. was born on 2 September 1891.1 He was the son of Henry Hall Summers and Minnie Gertrude Brattan.1 He married, firstly, Doris Marguerite Edgecombe, daughter of George Robert Edgecombe, on 16 September 1915.1 He and Doris Marguerite Edgecombe were divorced in 1930.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Amy Stace, daughter of Harry Percy Stace, on 14 August 1931.1 He died on 17 January 1972 at age 80.2
