     Robert Craigmyle Morrison, 1st Baron Morrison was born on 29 October 1881.1 He was the son of James Morrison.1 He married Grace Glossop, daughter of Thomas Glossop, on 27 July 1910.1 He died on 25 December 1953 at age 72.1
     He was educated at Elementary School, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He was educated at Higher Grade School, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He was Town Councillor for Wood Green between 1914 and 1919.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919.1 He held the office of Member of the Middlesex County Council between 1919 and 1924.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Division of Tottenham between November 1922 and October 1931.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Division of Tottenham between November 1935 and October 1945.1 He was created 1st Baron Morrison, of Tottenham, co. Middlsesex [U.K.] on 16 November 1945.1 He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting to HM King George VI between 1947 and 1948.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 30 June 1949.1

     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Morrison, of Tottenham, co. Middlsesex [U.K., 1945] on 25 December 1953.1 On his death his barony became extinct.2
