     From 20 February 1804, her married name became Gardner.1

     Maj.-Gen. William Bethell Gardner was born on 19 August 1815.1 He was the son of General Hon. William Henry Gardner and Elizabeth Lydia Fyers.1 He married Eliza Augusta Anderson, daughter of Colonel Sir Alexander Anderson, on 24 November 1840.1 He died on 15 June 1880 at age 64.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.1
